As a guy who worked at a game store and has spent a lot of time at various game stores...
It's all garbage. Never trust a single thing any employee tells you, because the dumbest rumors circulate through those stores. Not every single thing they tell you is wrong, but it's wrong often enough that you've got to take everything with a big fat grain of salt.
