Like 75-80% of Nintendo hardware owners this gen were 3DS-only (no Wii U) ... that's a lot of people that didn't get a chance to play these games. 

Or those people can just buy the games. The only time nintento ported a significant amount of previous gen titles was with the new play control wii titles.

 


Are we really totally ignoring the obvious example here? TP HD is and improved port of a game that I could just play on my wiiU natively.

That's exactly why people are expecting Nintendo to bolster up their lineup with a few remasters, because they are already doing it, and as you yourself pointed out have done it before too.

Anyways, I'm sure we will get plenty of exciting new games as well, so what's the problem with a few remasters?
