It'll take something really bad for this not to happen, and the industry will have seen such a huge generational recession.

I think PS4 ending around Wii is pretty plausible, but there's no where near enough evidence to bet against it. Especially considering, that support is increasing, not decreasing (and still is more expensive than the Wii was at launch).
