We know it's a game platform. We know that it will at the minimum be unveiled this year. We know development kits have been given to third parties.

We know from a comment from Mr. Iwata that this has likely been planned since 2014 and that it would take two years for it to come to realization (his time line) and it would redefine gaming some how.

Also probably linked to the NX, in late 2014 Nintendo signed a deal with Sharp for free-form LCD displays, a recent patent leak seems to confirm that deal is for gaming purposes (and not Quality of Life) as the patent showed free-form LCDs integrated into a game controller for gaming purposes. Also convienantly these free-form LCDs are not available until (you guessed it) ... 2016.

People mostly seem to focus on specs, but there will definitely be some type of hook in regards to the tech side of NX. Its rarely (if ever) mentioned, but what do you think about Nintendo  possibly improving on glasses free 3D, to the home console side (would work on any tv)?    Its the type of thing I can see Nintendo going for, just dont know how plausible it is.

Yeah, you just have a 3D view gamepad. Or something like, you know, View master. It would, however, be idiotic.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.
