No shit sherlock. A ticket costs 12 € around here today - 15 € if it's 3D and they seem to show every goddamn movie in 3D these days. God, I hate 3D. But that's another story. On top of that, they want an additional 3 € if a movie has "overlength", meaning it is longer than 2 hours. So if you wanna watch a 3D movie with more than two hours, that will set you back a whopping 18 €. It's no cheaper for children either. So if you wanna watch a movie with your wife and two children, that would be 72 € for just one evening, not counting snacks and drinks. You know, the 9.99 € for Netflix a month seems like the better option.

When I was a Kid, a movie ticket cost 6 DM, which is roundabout 3 € (!). It just became too expensive.
