As I said in the other thread: 540p is more likely than 1080p, honestly.

Historically, Nintendo have always opted for very low resolution screens for their handhelds; even the circa 2005 PSP has a higher screen resolution (480x272) than the 3DS, (400x240) while the original DS, also released in 2005, operated at a miniscule 256x192.
