What's so "cool" about Mace Windu? There's is NO fucking character there. Sam Jackson has never been so BLAND in his whole life, a lot of his line readings were mind-numbingly bad ("A Sith ... Lord? Is this an Anchorman joke? I'm ... Ron ... Burgandy?). Oh but he had a PURPLE lightsaber. Whoopity doo, what a bad ass.

Mace Windu is cool for the reason Fynn isn't. But you fail to understand that. I understood very well that you much rather prefer shitty and weak characters rather than the likes of jedis. Fynn looks like he is coming straight out of Greys Anatomy or some other stupid sitcoms.

Mace Windu added depth to the old jedi council and looked like a true hero, that's why people liked him.

He's likable to comic book types because he has a purple lightsaber. Ooooh. Ahhh. There's NO FREAKING CHARACTER there in the prequels. What's his personality? None. Nada. I felt so freaking bad for Sam Jackson, he looked like a deer in the headlights in those movies, there's *nothing* in those scripts for him to work with at all. Nothing.

Dude was on a blue screen set talking to a tennis ball, being directed by someone who has no idea how to direct human beings and it showed.

In first movie he just sits down the entire time through 2 BORING dialogue scenes.

Movies aren't video games were characters are "cool because they teh power ddoooood". This is not how story telling works, that's not what makes normal human beings relate to a character.
