Chronicles X wouldnt be able to run the way it is on the WIi that is a fact, there would be a version of it but i can imagine they would have to cut stuff and it would look worse. Wii U is stronger than Wii, X could run on PS360. More options is never a bad thing, its better to have it than not. Its not like the PS4 and Xone arent having colorful games cause of its power. IMHO none of those games really required motion, they would have been fine without it, which is kind of my point the whole thing did a poor job of really showing motion capabilities which is why its all but dead. A game will be good no matter what control scheme you use, but a crap game will still be crap and Wii had a lot of crap (im looking at all the Wiisports knockoffs) |
PS360 have less than half as much RAM as Wii U, and Chronicles X is a memory bound game. Could you make a version of it for PS3/360? Sure. But you would have to reduce its memory footprint by over 50%, which would necessitate reducing asset density and quality, etc.
And sure, it's nice to have options, but power and game quality often do not correlate. For example, The original Xbox was much more powerful than the PS2, yet most would argue the PS2 had a better library.
I can say for sure I would not have enjoyed any of those games as much without motion controls, and the same goes for most of the system's best games, like Mario Galaxy 1 + 2, Prime 3, Skyward Sword, etc. Hell, when given the option, I play Wii U games like Tropical Freeze and Black Ops 2/Ghosts with the Wiimote.
