1. Buy Capcom, Atlus, Square Enix, and Kojima Productions. Set them on making exclusive games that hearken back to the NES-SNES glory days.

2. Release the NX in November 2017. Make it just as powerful as the PS4, but at a $249.99 price point. Make Splatoon 2, or Super Mario Galaxy 3 a pack-in launch title.

3. Bring back the Nintendo Seal of Quality. This means, no more shovelware for Nintendo systems. A lot of Wii users got burnt out on all the shovelware, and dropped Nintendo altogether. Changing the Nintendo Seal, back to the Seal of Quality, is a must.

4. Get Steam to work on the NX. This way, big AAA, third party titles wind up playable on the NX, whether the developers intended it or not. If it will play on steam, it will play on NX. In return for this, publish the entire VC library to steam. It's a win-win-win for Nintendo, Steam, and PC gamers.

5. Make sure that at least four AAA exclusives get released for the NX every year. Try to space the releases out so that there's always a new game to play.

6. Support the NX for five years, and then release another system. A shorter console cycle will keep Nintendo systems at a competitive power level, and price point.

PS4 level horsepower for 2017 will be ancient. Sony will just show the PS5 which will be like 10x more powerful and then NX will be in the same position the Wii U is in.

My personal feeling is Nintendo needs to radically alter what the traditional game platform is. NX has to compete against the Playstation *FIVE* and XB2 ... that means IMO it needs to be an evolving/upgrading platform like Steam/iOS are. NX is just a platform, the hardware evolves and changes but from that point on you can take your NX games up with you.
