If you just play sticker star and super paper mario by themselves without thinking about what they could have been if they were like TTYD, you may find you enjoy their unique aspects like I did. SPM is fine, it's only SS that's complete garbage. The game actually is like TTYD, just a massively stripped down version of it. Even when pretending the prequels don't exist, all of it's flaws remain, such as the barebones battle system, having no reason to battle outside of bosses, having no story or characters, and so ons that make the game bad on it's own.

Yea after the great/funny stories from the first three games I was stunned they didn't even TRY to make an interesting/humerous story with this one.
