Will anyone even care about this movie when it's finally released? Avatar was such a mediocre and forgettable film (Pocahontas meets Aliens) and its only draw in the first place was its visual effects and eye candy designed to push "3D" in theaters that didn't require those goofy red/blue glasses.
Don't get me wrong, Avatar 2 will still do big bucks at the box office, but now that 3D in theaters is no longer a big deal and blockbuster action / sci fi films are a dime a dozen these days, especially around the holidays, I don't see how Avatar 2 sets any records or even comes close to besting its predecessor.
