I've seen tons of movies this year. It's been great altogether, although forcing me to narrow down movies is always a difficult task for me.
For starters, there's two Benicio del Toro movies which I think deserve a bit more of love:
- Sicario
- A perfect Day
I did like Black Mass more than I thought, but I wouldn't call it an awesome movie or anything. Ex Machina was outstanding; haven't seen The Walk because it has not been released here yet (Which is a shame, because I'm such a Zemeckis fanboy). Mars was good, but I found it overrated.
A terribly, terribly underrated movie is In The Heart of the Sea. I honestly don't know why critics hated it so much. Sure, having cut the movie's lenght by thirty minutes would have been much better (it drags a bit on the end), but I did find myself enjoying it.
I also wanted to watch The Danish Girl, but it releases here next year. Didn't see Crimson Peak becase all my friends went to the theaters without asking me.
My Film of the Year is either Mad Max: Fury Road or Bridge of Spies. Haven't decided yet, but it's among those two.
