Could FE Fates break the sale record of FE series ?

If I recall, Nintendo had it at 1.79 million at the end of December of last year. VGChartz had it at 1.49 million at the end of last year.
So if that's true, than I'd assume it's closing in on 2.2 million worldwide right now. (Nintendo's 1.79 + the .26 that VGChartz added this year + whatever digital sales that were added this year.)
