Starfox Zero is the third version and second reimagining of the traditional Starefox template; Fox fighting to take back the Lylat system from Andross. It is not a sequel like Adventure, Command, or Assault, it is a remake. Ergo, it would make sense for it to retain the structure of the games it is reimagining; games designed to be beaten in a single playthrough, but replayed for branching paths and high score attempts.
