Will it though? If Captain Toad has more content than say, Starfox 64. If Zero is similarly designed for a single sitting playthrough, it may well have equal or less content than some $40 Wii U titles.

Captain Toad is basically just more levels from Mario 3D World and has very low content without any replayability, you can basically finishe game with all collectibles in around 5-6 hours. Even Star Fox 64 had great replayability, same will be with Star Fox Zero and definitely will have more content, also you can replay certain levels with different vehicles.

So I really don't see how you think that Star Fox Zero needs to have same price like Toad's Treasure Tracker, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Mario Tennis and Amiibo Festival, because it's obvious bigger game than those.

Captain Toad had replayability; finding all the gems and completing the special objectives generally required multiple playthroughs of each stage.

Starfox Zero looks to be a short game without high production values, I don't think most gamers would deem it worth $60 USD.
