Nintendo Patent Shows Freeform Display For (NX?) Controller/Portable

I think this could be the controller, but it could have more face buttons or maybe the option to over lay more physical buttons if you want.

Like maybe you could slide a physical transparent overlay that has physical B/A/X/Y buttons and a d-pad to go with the two sticks.
