Don't forget that Pokémon will get almost a main game per year + tons of spin offs. I think it will take much more than 2 years to the gap shorten this much...

 

That was based on the later proved wrong figures indicating that the GTA franchise sol close to 10 million per quarter. Like I said in the discussion later when I found out GTA "only" sells 5 million per quarter, I changed that 2-3 year estimate to "a year after GTA VI launches". I'm thinking probably 2019, possibly even 2020.
