Pokemon is at a bit more than 270 million, so the gap is 45-50 million. When GTA sold 10 million in about 4-5 months, without any new releases, yeah, I think GTA can surpass pokemon within a few years, 2-3, maybe depending a bit on when GTA VI releases. Pokemon go is free to play....

 When did it sold 10m?

GTA was at 215 million (ZhugeEX is the source for that as well) at the middle of august. It is now at 225 million. 225 million - 215 million = 10 million.
