Minecraft Wii U uses the TV for Inventory and crafting, Not the Gamepad!

If you already own Minecraft on another platform, would having the crafting/inventory screen on the gamepad make you purchase the game again for Wii U?

If you don't own Minecraft already, does the lack of gamepad support somehow make the game no longer worth while?
