Yes, Wii Sports is so hardcore man. Let us not forget forced motion controls in Zelda.... that was absolutely for the "core" gamer that EVERY Nintendo console before the Wii catered too.

not very convincing argument.  I've been playing on Nintendo consoles since the NES as well, and the wii has tons of games for core gamers.  I'm sorry if you didn't dig enough to find them, or maybe your tastes have narrowed or your interests lie in graphics.  Maybe you don't like Japanese games, but then why buy a Nintendo console.  I'm not gonna go into list wars, but the list is quite long of core games on the wii and Nintendo absolutely didn't abandon the core gamers are many have pointed out with long posts already in this thread.
