If he didn't have a PC you make a good point for everything but RPGs which PS4 has in spades.
The first thing he list is RPG (which even more were announced as PS4 exclusives today). I'm a PC gamer first, all my multiplats are bought on PC. Outiside of big named exclusives, it's RPGs that the PC lacks which keeps me playing consoles as much as I do. The X360 was different it had more rpg multiplats %, and it had some nice exlusives like Blue Dragon. The Xbox one significantly lags behind the 360 in the RPG department. The thing is stradegy games aren't very taxing on PCs, you don't need a souped up PC for most of them, so for his genres his current PC more than likely is up to the task. Then we go to Strategy RPGs and were back to PS4 exclusives that aren't coming to PC. Sims are also not very taxing on the PC to run decently, and 60 frames for most sims wouldn't really matter.
A 4 year old 2700K can easily max out those genres. It would helpful if we knew his specs though.
To further demonstrate the point all the RPGs Xbox fans have listed are also on the PC and PS4. I listed many RPGs that are exclusive and I can continue to list more like Tales and Ni No Kuni 2 that will not come to the Xbox One, these genres are that one sided.
As others have pointed out in other forums:

Well anybody who cares about those style of games should have a PS4. Its mostly niche stuff. |
