We've got to be getting hopefully closer to the point where ANY play can be challenged and reviewed, but still limited in number so it doesn't make the game any longer on average.

Well the refs only played a minor role in the Lions losing last nights game.  If they actually played some defense down the strech and the special teams didn't cough up the ball they would have easily won by at least 7 points.  Plus the offense could have played better also there where a bunch of passed that should have been caught instead of ending up as incompletions. 

Additionally, Caldwell was the one person on the planey who thought the Packers would go for a series of laterals instead of a hail mary, so rather than putting in, say, Johnson and Ebron (who could easily swat the ball down in the end zone) he put in a bunch of linebackers who looked very lose back there.

This was definitely a team effort.
