It doesn't feel like that because when you leave those 2 major regions Playstation is dominating the world console space.  Like in Japan the ps4 has sold over 2m like in the UK but the xbox has sold around 50k. So the gap there alone is equal to the total x1 sales in the UK.  Sony were smart targeting the world. 

I hope MS manage to target the world next gen and bring their A game though, I'd love to see major switches like we saw this gen, especially for Nintendo.

 They will remember that, hardware wise, they should stay as close to their source as they can...
