When was Nintendo last cool?

Ocarina of Time? Metroid Prime maybe?

Most of what made NES, SNES and N64 'cool' was games from other developers. Rareware with Goldeneye, Capcom with Street Fighter etc.

Yoshi's Island was a great game but it was never 'cool'.
