Dude, you aren't getting what he's saying.  You misread.  He didn't say that "I like Skittles" wasn't subjective.  He said that *the amount of information* represented in it isn't subjective.  I like Skittles only involves the flavors, textures, and colors of the candy and your preference for them.  That is an objective, quantifiable amount of data that can be discussed.  The opinion about that book deals with a whole host of ideas, another quantifiable number of discussion points.

Also, he said that he disagreed with the need for this thread, not the contents.  And the point about more threads and popularity has to do with saturation of the forums.  There's already going to be numerous topics flooding the forums next week, do we really need even more, less substantial topics clogging the forums further.

You calling him a complete liar is only making yourself look foolish.  Take the time to read and process before throwing around aggressive ad hominem attacks and trying to pick a fight.

You're right I did misread what he said about skittles, I did not understand what he meant until you said it. However, everything else, I don't.

How do the needs and contents not go together? He disagreed with the need for the thread because of the contents, they go hand in hand. That's the point he's been making the whole time, that the contents of the thread are not valuable or worthy of a thread. He also argued that there was no need for this thread because it would be getting to many threads because it's about to release, which is normal considering this happens for every game.

All the OP has been saying is he finds the game to be confusing because it's an JRPG and it's his first. And it seems like he wants people to change his mind and understand what an JRPG is, and that's what people are doing. JWein is saying that it's not worthy of of thread because of the reasons the OP gave, but that's his opinion. And I said you could say any opinion thread like this is not worthy because there are people who could find it not worthy and that's their opinion. And he's being a hypocrite by saying that this thread should not have been made because he personally did not find it worthy. However, he implies a book which he finds is interesting should have a topic and not be closed because it's his opinion but of course there are people who don't find it interesting and can say what I've said from the first post, for any opinion thread, you can say that a thread should not have been made because they personally did not find it interesting. The same can be said about all books, some find it interesting and some don't.

And it's funny you're saying I'm trying to pick a fight, which I wasn't, you seem to be the only one trying to pick a fight with your last sentences.
