I don't see why people still believe there will be a new console in 2016. Remember Wii U's launch? It was silent. If you release it in 2016, nobody would care for it. It would be another. Nintendo doesn't want that. 

And why would people suddenly care for the NX console in 2017 if they wouldn't care in 2016? Please enlighten us!
