Oh yes, it is. I mean just look at WiiU. Sure, the Wii was an exception but also Nintendo misread the market completely by offering a tablet as an input device.

I actually think the Wii was the first time since the NES and Gameboy that Nintendo made the correct assessement of the market, but then came the WiiU. We have similar stories with Sega and their complete collapse, Atari and the market crash and so on.
