Every year I think mainstream music surely can't get worse, and then it does. I'd like to believe it will change at some point, but at the moment it is hard to see where the dumbing down, autotuning, everything-sounds-like-it-is-made-to-be-played-in-a-club crap that currently dominates is going to end.
There are probably some really good artists at the moment that you will never hear of unless you go searching for them though.
