Starfox looks fun and Zelda has the potential to be amazing but ... seriously, if I bought a Wii U and then it turned out that the NX could play Wii U games, I'd feel like I wasted money better spent elsewhere. Especially if there ends up being a real Metroid game on the NX.

In a way, backward compatibility is probably a mistake in terms of a sales hook at launch as it makes you feel like you should wait, and wait, and wait. At least when you're talking about the short generations that Nintendo seems to favor.

I kind of wanted a Wii at the end because of the RPG hype but I decided it wasn't enough. I kind of wanted a Wii U at the beginning because it seemed like it was going to be well supported but that quickly faded and now I'm waiting to see what happens with Zelda. What I'm hoping is that Zelda, at least, ends up on the NX and the NX ends up being THE ONE--that is to say, a full generation of support, all the features of the other consoles, and a diverse array of quality titles.
