Another thing to consider: will you want to have to play catch up on all the games on Wii U you want? Especially if you want XCX, WWHD, Genei Ibun Roku #FE, etc. Even if the NX is backwards compatible, the Wii U's successor, AND launches next year (three ifs, BTW), it's unlikely the launch lineup is going to be so stellar you couldn't wait several months to a year to let it flesh out :P . Honestly, the only massive game I see maybe being on it immediately is Zelda but they have all but personally emailed every Wii U owner a message saying YES Zelda will be on Wii U. So you will still get that and the NX version, I guarantee, will not be SO definitive as to make the Wii U version unacceptable. My advice is get the Wii U, get on the games you want on it, and you can be ready for NX when it launches, be that 2016 or 2017.
