In my opinion, complaining about metacritic is useless. Metacritic is just essentially an average of review scores from multiple gaming sites. Calling it media bias is more accurate to your complaints. Metacritic is more like the messenger, don't shoot it.

Personally, I don't care about collective scores of reviews. I barely care for specific reviews. The last review score to hold my attention was probably for Splatoon from IGN and I trust that reviewer, but I digress.

Overall some have the reviews, not scores, give me the idea of what's a flaw and what's something personal with the reviewer. I won't buy Devil's Third, and at a certain point, I was hyped about it and more than willing to forgive its flaws because I the gameplay had a foundation with gameplay I wanted in games, as well as due to the painful dev cycle they went trhough. Micro-transactions stopped me cold. Any game with those is off my radar. I can't say anything about the other two, but I do intend to buy them both sometime next year Q1
