It still doesn't deserve a better score because the content comes later, imo. Sure, we get it for free and everyone loves free stuff. But imagine Pikmin 3 doesn't get it's mission mode until 2 months after the game released. We got it for free, great, yet it wasn't available until who knows when.
A better option would be to do a seperate review for the DLC packs. That is normally done. It's complicated with Splatoon since it came with mode, gear, maps, and/or weapon; how about reviewing each mode as it's own pack?
