Amaze definition:
"to fill with wonder", " to show or cause astonishment" or "to surprise and sometimes confuse (someone) very much".
If it continues to amaze you, you haven't been paying very close attention. It amazed me in the first few weeks, but after that, its insane legs in Japan was pretty much proven, and it shouldn't amaze (surprise) anyone anymore. Would you really be surprised to see Splatoon do 12-15k next week? Or the week after that? And then see it start rising over the holidays? Or are you expecting that to happen? If you are, then it's not amazing you.
This might be semantics, but I've seen people say this so many times that it's become sort of a pet peeve of mine. I mean, are you still surprised?
Other than that:
PS4 hardware holds like I expected, just above 20k. God Eater Ressurrection did a bit lower than I'd hoped for, but my hopes were a bit high I suppose. Not sure if those are good numbers for Halo 5, but they certainly aren't shocking exactly. I figure most people buying XBOs in Japan are Halo fans really.
