It's always a nice feature to have but I think Aaron forgets that people buy new systems to play new games

I still regularly play on my PS3. But they might have a problem only having part BC. It's no trouble for me to just keep my PS3 to play all my PS3 games, the question is will people see it as selling point if they still have to keep their 360 to play all their games.

I still play heavily on my PS3 as well, and I would've really love my PS4 to have BC.  But if the PS4 hardly have any new games worth playing then I wouldn't really see the point in buying a PS4 if i'd just mainly use it to play PS3 games.

I remember PS3 BC was a talked like it was a huge thing but after Sony took out BC from the PS3 we all realized it wasn't that big of a deal and that people were buying PS3 for PS3 games, not for BC.

The Wii U has BC (it even had BC controllers) but look at the situation it's in.  BC is an amazing feature and respect to MS and Nintendo for having it, but in the end it all comes down to the new games for the new system; It's without a doubt the biggest selling point that overshadows any other selling point such as BC.

The worst thing about the PS3 was the lack of cross gen games releasing well up to and past the PS4 start. Namely Japanese games. KH 1.5 and 2.5 for example, those are literally the only reasons I still have a  PS3. It's annoying, and BC does add utility but imo its not a purchasing reason alone.
