Its a free service right and its counting multiple accounts from the same people??

I don't how that's any different from Microsoft's Xbox Live member numbers. I have a Silver member, and I make up the 10 million Live members.

They do count the Silver members as part of the service. So technically, MS is doing the same stuff as Sony for counting.

There are three Xbox Live accounts on my 360. So yes, you can create multiple accounts as well.
