pfffff...That hyperbole again, for 3DS this time... We must be careful with the words we use and know where they match and where not..

1.27m... in the 4th year, up by 70k from last  year edit: flat, same quarter! Pretty poor... Doom..

The 3DS did 1.17m this quarter
, versus 1.27m for the same quarter last year. It's down. And it is pretty poor. I never claimed "doom" though, so please stop trying to discredit me by saying that.

The GBA shipped almost twice as much as that (2.27m) in the same quarter in its life, and that was after the DS had launched.

3DS did 1.27m this quarter and  yeah 1.27m same quarter last year... Do your maths again!:P So, I made a mistake it's not up by 70k but flat...

Yeah, but pretty poor is still a hyperbole, don't you think? If 1.27m is pretty poor, what would you call under 1m or even half of last  year same quarter shipments.

Okay, I made a mistake in my math (I took 2.18-1.01). So the 3DS did 100k more than I thought, and is flat YoY. That's a bit better, but still pretty bad. Like I said, the GBA easily ouyships the 3DS in the same quarter (which was after the DS came out!)) In fact, even if you exclude America, the GBA still shipped more (1.5 million). The 3DS did poor for a Nintendo handheld was my point. If the 3DS had shipped under 1 million, or half what it did last year, then that would've been downright awful (again, for a Nintendo handheld).
