Isn't that literally what the show (and the comics) is about though? A show that demonstrated that we are our own worst enemy?
I would be bored out of my mind if every episode had mindless zombie killings, it wouldn't be deep at all. Character development can be slow but it's necessary if you're ever gonna give a damn about the main cast, not just who can slice zombie heads best.
OT: The premiere episode was cool but a bit slow for my taste. However, JSS was a fucking mind bomb. It was just fantastic, frantic, lunatic human violence which honestly feels more terrifying than the zombies themselves.
