I already wrote why Wii U had bad launch and 1st year lineup (paragraph down), and with NX Nintendo will not have those problems. I dont think I am too optimistic, I think I am objective beacuse all this things I wrote are based on facts and Nintendo plans with NX. You have to realize that current generation will be Nintendo worst generation ever, and Nintendo is changing and they changing lotsa things in order to next generation be much successful than this one, so that means correction of mistakes that they made this gen.
Wii U is Nintendo first HD console and they had big problems with HD development that directly affected Wii U launch and first year lineup, with NX they will not have those problems because now they are very familiar with it. Another huge problem was that they needed to make different games for 3DS and Wii U in same time, especially because 3DS had very bad launch and Nintendo invest great effort in new games (they released Mario Kart 7, Zelda OOT 3D, Mario 3D Land, Star Fox 3D in same quarter in which they launched Wii U) in order to save 3DS, and they done that but that effect on Wii U. But again with NX they will not have that problem because they will make one game in same time for both consoles, not completely separate like this gen, that means much more games. Whole this Nintendo unified plans are to prevent software drought like before.

Well it may get as good support as gc but the conversation part I think isn't as good as you think. So far their proposals don't seem to have come from benchmarking or talking to devs. And If the not powerfull remark them devs will still ignore them. If they decide for the double platform it may make it even worse.
about being easier. Ms/sony and 3rd have been making hd games for almost 10 years and delays still happen and dev cycle is quite big.
you seem to be hoping too much. The optmistic is the pessimist ill informed.

GameCube had very good 3rd party support for Nintendo console, Wii U basically dont have 3rd party at all.
Give 3rd party similar power of PS4/XboxOne, give them similar architecture (all points that NX will not be weak and that will have similar PS4/Xbox One architecture) and they will port PS4/Xbox One games for NX pretty easy and fast, also this cross developing in same time for multiple devices will make things more attractive for them. Beacuse of that, personaly I think NX can have similar suport like GameCube had, or maybe even better.
