Many people say the best combo right now is WiiU plus either the PS4 or X1, and I agree. Not much point in owning the Sony and Microsoft consoles and ignoring Nintendo, especially with a gaming PC in addition.
Okay, that might not be fully on topic, and kinda cliche. So let me say that if I could own either a PS4 or WiiU, I'd take the WiiU.
Okay, still not fully on topic. Yes, you can own consoles other than Nintendo and still call yourself a fan. In fact having multiple systems (or easy access to other consoles) will refine your tastes further than playing just one system exclusively, and likely make you less of a fanboy.
