Ah, Golden Time. It was like a game of Battleship start to finish. All that was left at the end was that piddly two peg raft, playing by sink all to win rules, but damn it, that little raft survived.

I had to marathon the last few episodes. Honestly, I was a wreck/doing my Franky impression for everything after the forced breakup. This is a show I'm grateful I watched after it aired, since there's no way I'd be able to handle weeks in between the episodes.

I think the part that got me the most was the 2nd time Banri decided to finally explain everything to his friends, but has a breakdown in the middle of the street. While in the car, he looks over and sees Kouko sobbing. It was obvious it was a forced breakup, but that scene really got me; knowing just how hard it was on her, despite being the one to call it off in the first place.

On a side note, I kinda wish that Mitsuo and Chinami got together. I suppose the writer just didn't really care about the sideships, but it seemed dissapointing to introduce her feelings into the story with no follow-up.

I like the character relationship between the MC and the princess more than in Calvary, as their relationship progression feels more natural.

That's something I'll probably prefer when I watch Asterisk. I love the dynamic in Rakudai, but as far as ship development goes, it seems rushed from Stella's end. I liked the last episode a lot more than episode 2, but that ship development...

Still, I already plan to marathon Asterisk when the season ends. Plus it's all on Crunchy so there's less maintenance.
