It is a good acheivement for sony considering the position they WERE in but in terms of where they thought they would be at it is bad.
Also the fact that the 360 had a year start has no relevance whatsoever, I do not think dev teams will say

The word going around seems to be that microsoft are in trouble, which to me appears strange as on numerous occaisions an animal of logic called sqrl has pointed out that all systems sales have increased.
