Could Splatoon Potentially Be In The Top 3 (if Not Top 5) Best Selling Franchises In Japan?

in the context of the wii u, sure  it can be in the top 5. But when you talk about hypothetical "if it was on," then I have to disagree. If minecraft was on Nintendo consoles, especially 3ds, sales would explode in japan, if yokai watch, MH, pokemon, and mario kart were on the vita, then they would steadily outpace splatoon.

But the thing you said, well atleast one of the franchises you mention is being outsold by Splatoon (MK8) on the same system. In Fact Its actually killing it. And the other franchises you listed are in the top 5 already^ (with adding Animal Crossing).

If Splatoon can do 1mil by end of the year (which seems like a lock for Digital+Shipped), its scary to think what it could of done on 3DS.

Examples, look at the difference between MK/SSB/NSMB/SM3D on WiiU and 3DS in Sales :)
