Like others have said, it's an unnamed proprietary engine that hasn't been used in any other games. We may as well call it the 'Mario Galaxy Engine'. That said, Miyamoto said that since they already had the engine, they'd be able to make another Mario platformer in a much shorter period of time. So it'll be used in at least one other game.
Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
