I hope it isn't Maise Williams, because as much as I like her as Arya Stark she is no where near as good an actor as Ashley Johnson, which means her portrayal of Ellie will be inferior to the game's Ellie. Ashley did such a fantastic job of Ellie that it is going to be extremely hard for any teenage actor to do the role justice. |
But not a lot of other young and known actresses available right now... And Maisie William has that "rebel" reputation with Arya.
But, did anyone see the "The 5th wave" trailer, with Chloe Moretz? The first scene (in a gas station IIRC), really looks like a TLOU/Ellie scene IMO (same outfit, scenery and behavior for example).
