Just as Nintendo is finally getting into FPS and Open World games- are gamers getting over these genres?

Splatoon is third person, not first person.

and tbh I don't think open world is going anywhere.

Look at how many COD games there are. Each game is an FPS and look how much it sells. Now combine that with all the other FPS's, you'd think people would get tired of the genre.
But they don't.

It'll be the same with open world. It's not a genre obviously, but it'll still be the same most likely.
