When you have success you get praised for it, and Nintendo got plenty of praise for the Wii.

And likewise when you screw up, you're going to get a lot of blame. Nintendo's board of directors like I said are lucky they're on a Japanese company. If that was an American company they would all be fired by now outside of Miyamoto.

they got praised because ppl made money of the wii console it didnt just sell well it was a story that sold well..they also screwed up with n64 and gc and they didnt get what theyre getting now.

it was a chain of events media events that fucked everything up.

They did take a lot of heat in the GameCube days, I remember that image of a sinking boat with the Nintendo emblazoned over it was used a lot during the GameCube days on message boards.

They were still meeting/exceeding sales expectations overall as a company back then though due to the rock solid strength of the Game Boy brand and the Pokemon initial craze was still going strong in the early 2000s.
