So about 40 episodes into To Love-Ru (Season one, OVA season, and some of Motto), I decided I needed a break from the total lack of legitimate plot and near nonsensical, borderline unrelated episode progression. So I started watching Nisekoi because it seems like one of those ones everybody has seen but I haven't yet.

I've watched six episodes. It is enjoyable so far.

You just went from bad to worse.... have fun with that.

Nisekoi is funny so far and at least has plot progression from episode one, so I'd argue it's enough of a step up. I'm not expecting a masterpiece here, which keeps everything that much more enjoyable. Granted, it's fairly close to 40 episodes between season one, OVA episodes, and season two, so I don't know exactly how much I'll still be enjoying it by the end, but I don't see myself hating it since I've already resigned myself to the fact that nothing conclusive will happen in regards to character relationships, and that it will just be a bunch of funny and awkward moments start to finish.

Huzzah! :D You made the right choice.

I love the series, but I do like to warn people that it's based on an ongoing Jump manga, and the anime stays pretty faithful to it. Which means that story won't conclude in the anime. If you enjoy the humor and the basic premise, you'll continue to enjoy it, but just keep in mind that the source material has stil yet to resolve anything. Though it seems you're already ready for this, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Enjoy!

Also I have no idea how to cut quote trees on my phone, so sorry about that.
