Pokemon Go is the first mobile game that, instead of offering spinnofs to the mobile market, will bring the main mechanics of the Pokemon games to the phones and tablets of everyone. Capturing, training, trading, battling... It will all be possible with that game. Obviously, people are pretty excited. But how will it affect the next generation of Pokemon games?
It's plausible to think that the next pokemon games will allow some form of connection between them and Go. That might alter the view of the series for most fans and non fans. Will the non fans start buying the main games? Will the fans be satisfied with Go alone and stop buying games? What features can GameFreak bring to the games to take advantage of Go?
