Why Sony can't just let God Of War die and move on?

The rumors were that it was very similar to Destiny in some way. After Destiny was revealed with an unreal hype machine behind it, SSM's new IP went through drastic changes to differentiate itself from Destiny which ended in the project being cancelled all together.

It was Stig Asmussen's project.
