Not necessarily. He says they should either do that or make sure they improve their consoles to get better coverage.

And that's true really. From a home console perspective if there future console keep selling at Wii U levels then they really would be better off going 3rd party. If they can actually adapt to the current market and improve their console sales in the future though then that won't be needed.

Well then he's stating the obvious.
